My 2 1/2 is starting to get fascinated with Barbie and is watching all these Barbie DVD's but my mother in law thinks Barbie is bad influence because she might make my daughter thinks that you have to grow up like Barbie thin and pretty. I don't see...
Is mattel going nuts? There is a barbie for everything. And the prices are skyrocketing. Do you think that the whole doll industry is getting out of hand and influencing young girls to be "barbie perfect"?
For the ladies obviously.;)So when was it? For me it was 15. I have a younger sister so it worked out good.The best thing about Barbies to me was always dressing them up. Fixing their hair and changing their clothes.

If your son wanted a toy that is considered to be a girl's toy, would you get it for him? People don't seem to have much of a problem buying boy's toys for girls. But with boys it seems to be different. Thoughts?
