| Was there a gift for Christmas did you NOT get? | | As a child, was there a special Christmas gift you didnt get?When I was 11 years old, I asked for a mini bike. I asked for it when I was 12 and 13 too.But I my dad would not buy me one. That was not something for a girl. Instead I got a purple bike with a white and pink basket! lol My dad was so old fashion. | | | My Baby Boy | | My baby is just a year and 8 months old. Having him, is just completed my life. He is a very wonderful son. Most of the time, he tries to be independent. Like when I want to feed him, he will ask for his rice bowl, his own set of spoon and fork and his cup. He will try to eat by himself though most of the time, the food will be scattered on the floor instead of going straight into his mouth.He doesn't like any toys except balls. He loves all kind of balls so much that my husband told me once, maybe our son is going to be a great Pele. He loves cartoons too but not Transformer or all the superheroes. He only loves cute little cartoons that looks as fat and chubby as him.The only other thing that he has at home is his mini bike. At first, when he knew how to ride it, I tried to teach him like putting his two feet on the paddle and ride the bike. But, every time I try to help, he will refuse it and tries very hard to ride it by himself. Once, I pulled the bike from behind and he hit my hands - didn't let me to help him move his mini bike.Two days ago, I called my husband to come and eat. My husband was in his closed computer room. | | What is your favorit memory....growing up | | I think the best thing I remember is the day I go a pony for christmas. I was about 9 years old and that christmas, things where tight for the family. My mother was determaned to give us kids a great christmas and she worked 3 jobs to get the extra money to buy us kid, the things we all really wanted. My brother wanted a bike, the other brother wanted a mini bike and I wanted a horse. She had save 150.00 to spend on christmas and looked high and low and managed to fulfeel our hopes. Christmas morning I got up and all that was under the tree for me was a apple wrapped in tin foal. I was so sad, I thought santa hated me. until she lead me to the back door to find a pony standing in the back yard. That was a great christmas. One I will never forget. | | 'Kid' Driving me crazy... | | Ok, he's not a kid, just turned 18 last week is now a legal adult but didn't stop him from doing all he can to drive me crazy.What sparked this discussion is discussion I posted last night 'Are you a Competitive Person'... I've never thought I was but oh my youngest son is while commenting on responses it made me think of him - he will turn anything into a compitition.Yesterday I was taking my van to go to the store. Shane had a couple friends over and they were all outside taking turns riding his newly acquired mini-bike. I backed out of the drive-way and pulled up to the stop sign next to our house. Here he comes up next to me "Mom, wanna race? Come on I'll beat you."Now understand this is a mini-bike goes about as fast as a snail on speed and he's 6'4" which looks really really funny on that bike. I yelled out the window no I'm not racing him and reminded him he didn't have his helmet on. Didn't matter I turned to head to the store and here he comes behind me catching me at the next stop sign still challenging me.
